This customer lived in a 12th-century cottage in Bures with a freezing cold loft. He came to us looking for a natural, sustainable solution. The space in question had very old fibreglass installed throughout.

We dutifully removed the old material and disposed of it in a skip. After cleaning and hoovering the entirety of the loft, we then installed 240mm of Sheep Wool insulation. Our team included eaves ventilation points to create a natural airflow to the loft. The property was left in a much tidier condition than when we arrived - with a pleased customer enjoying regulated temperatures within!

This customer owned a very old property with a beautifully rustic, timber-framed loft in need of some new insulation. After clearing out the entire loft of all fibreglass, we cleaned, hoovered and began work on installing 240mm Sheep Wool with eaves ventilation to create a natural airflow in the loft.

This property had a room in the loft - meaning effective insulation was the key to creating a comfortable environment for both living and storage. Being a pre-1920s property, it was well-served by the installation of lambswool insulation. After first clearing out the old fibreglass and loose boards in the loft, we cleaned and swept the rest of the room. Following this, we installed 240mm of Sheep Wool with eaves ventilation for superior air flow throughout.

The loft itself wasn’t the only thing we insulated in this case – we also did work on the loft door, side walls and ceiling of the dormer window, using Sheep Wool for the door and insulated plasterboard for the side walls.

This customer came to us in need of insulation installation in a complex space. Within his beautiful, rustic-style house, Mr. Brow had a variety of separate loft spaces leading to the “main” attic rather than a single loft. Upon our initial survey, we decided that the property would be would be very well-served by a sustainable insulation material such as Sheep Wool.

We insulated his property with 240mm lambswool, to great effect. Eaves ventilation created a natural airflow in the loft to help combat condensation.

Mr. Ward owned a pre-1920 property which needed to be insulated with Sheep Wool. The wool’s water-absorbent properties make it perfect for a timber-framed building of this age. We started work by removing all waste, namely the existing fibreglass insulation and loose boarding via a skip, before sweeping and hoovering the entirety of the loft.

Leaving eave vents to create a natural airflow throughout the loft, we diligently went about installing 240mm Sheep Wool. We used a storefloor raised boarding to create a small walkway to his water tank, alongside a storage area for his valuables. Finally, we insulated the water tank with a layer of Sheep Wool to give it the same natural, cosy feel as the rest of the attic.

This Enfield property was built pre-1920, making it suitable for Sheep Wool insulation. The customer had a large amount of misplaced fibreglass strewn about his loft. With the debris removed and disposed of via a skip, we cleaned the loft and began installation of 240mm Sheep Wool insulation, with eaves for ventilation.

Since the customer wanted storage space in his loft, we also installed a storefloor, which is a raised loft boarding system approved by the BBA (British Board of Agreement). This raised flooring prevents the insulation beneath from being squished or misplaced. It also leaves a gap underneath for the insulation to ventilate. OSB boards were installed as a finishing touch, resulting in a renewed multi-purpose loft space.

Mr. Hinds needed improvements to his home insulation in his pre-1920 property – as such, lambswool loft insulation was the way to go. Upon our arrival at the agreed upon time, we swept out all the existing insulation as well as any other debris from the loft before installing 240mm Sheep Wool in its place, with additional eaves for ventilation.

On behalf of the client, we installed storefloor boarding in the loft for all of his storing needs – the storefloor being the best storage solution because it leaves a gap between the insulation and the boarding. This ensured that the insulation did not get squished, and will get enough ventilation to function for a lifetime to come.

Sheep wool insulation was the perfect choice for Mr. Hardcastle's listed property due to its unique benefits. He approached us with a request to replace the old fiberglass insulation in his loft with SheepsWool insulation. Our team was responsible for removing the old insulation, thoroughly vacuuming the entire loft, and installing the new insulation.

Carol Bailee's loft transformation is a testament to a seamless blend of function and aesthetics. After clearing old remnants and entrusting them to RJ Insulation, we layered the space with 240mm of insulating Sheepswool, snug between the joists. Adding the refined touch of BBA Storefloor & Boarding, the loft became both practical and visually appealing. Even the water tank wasn't overlooked, wrapped in Sheepswool for optimal heat retention. And to ensure easy access, a newly crafted hatch was installed, marrying form with function in Carol's revamped loft.

Paul wanted to insulate his 1800s terrace house with sheep's wool. We started by removing all existing loft insulation and thoroughly vacuuming the loft floor to clear any fibers and debris. We then installed 240mm of sheep's wool insulation and added eaves vent trays to ensure proper ventilation.

Andy Craven Griffiths in LS12, Leeds, wanted to upgrade the insulation in his pre-1920 home using a natural solution. We removed and disposed of the existing insulation, thoroughly vacuumed the loft floor, and installed new sheep’s wool insulation. Eaves vents and felt lap vents were also fitted to ensure proper airflow and ventilation.

Eoghan Carroll in CR8, Croydon, needed to upgrade the insulation in his room-in-roof property. We removed and disposed of the existing insulation, then vacuumed the loft area to clear dust and fibres. We installed 240mm of sheep’s wool insulation between the floor joists with eaves vents for improved ventilation, and completed the project with new raised boarding using the BBA Storefloor system for added storage.

After discussing the best options for her specific property type, she decided to proceed with our top recommendation of natural sheep's wool. Our team began the project by carefully removing and disposing of all the old, existing insulation.
