Such an easy company to deal with. From start to finish the communication was excellent. No lengthy waiting, a thorough survey, such that suitable materials and approach was taken. The installation team were fantastic – so polite, courteous, hard-working, knowledgable, respectful of us and our home and knowledgable. The area was left as clean as when they arrived. Nothing was too much trouble, despite some of the areas being awkward and tight. Alfie, Ron, Ross and the rest of the lads and ladies were absolutely brilliant. The vibe you get is that good old “family owned business” feel and doing this deal was a very satisfying experience. They consistently exceeded our expectations in every way and the tailor made financing option they brought to the table made a world of difference. I also love the idea that we’ve staged the loft now with insulation but it’s ready to go to a further stage of making it into a ‘warm loft’ space/bedroom so nothing done will be wasted.

Went for a SP40 roof installation a couple months. Very professional and efficient support from the start. Initial discussions/survey with Ron was informative, thorough and friendly. Once agreed the lads came over a week after. They went the extra mile to help w/ reducing heat loss around the house, clearing some found mould in the roof, and were very efficient in and out over two days, and friendly. The attic is much nicer to be in and less cold everywhere!

From the initial call to the completion of the job, it’s been a pleasure to deal with RJ Insulation. After the survey, we were given a quote almost straight away but no hard sell or pressure attached to it. The date for installation was agreed. Two lovely guys turned up to fit the foil in the loft, both were very polite and courteous at all times. Dust sheets were put down and they hoovered up at the end of the job both days. I would recommend this company to anyone who’s thinking of having new loft insulation put in. From the initial enquiry through to the end of the job was just fantastic. I had an immediate quote from the surveyor and everything was explained thoroughly. The job was to empty a rubbish tip that was the loft, including mattresses and water tanks and forty year old cladding, hoover the whole area, install the Super foil to the rafters, and lay new earth wool and new boarding, a two day job. I was quickly given a date and had several calls from the office to ensure me that everything was going to plan. I did not have to chase up at all which was great. A skip was delivered, and the team arrived with smiles and courtesy. They were all super – so polite and helpful and kept me informed all along the way. At the end of day one I came home to find an immaculate house with no trace of the mess that had been moved to the skip – a totally clean hallway, as if they hadn’t been there. Day two and the same cheerful, professional and organised crew finished the job and again, cleaned up amazingly. From start to finish I was always kept up to date, it was completely stress free for me. This is once in a lifetime customer service and professionalism. The quality of the work is stunning. It’s incredible. I cannot say enough about this company, they really do deserve all the recognition and appreciation they get. From the initial contact with the company to the complete job done went very smoothly. The quotation, survey and the installation of the insulation was done by very courteous , friendly people. They arrived on time on the day the storm Eunice was causing travelling very difficult and we were not expecting them to show up at all. They removed and bagged all the old insulation and installed the new insulation. I am also very pleased with loft boarding but there was some misunderstanding about the fitting and I was not happy about it. I contacted the office about this and I was assured that the fitters will return and finish the job to my satisfaction. We employed this company to re-do and modernise the loft insulation in our property. There were two areas, one involved topping up the traditional fibre insulation in a modern single storey extension, the other a classic inter-war style loft with inadequate old-fashioned insulation, hot and cold water tanks and about fifty years worth of items we should have taken to the tip, but didn’t. This loft required emptying, vacuuming and generally sorting out, before installation of new eaves ventilation and downlighter covers, followed by a lovely snug lamb’s wool blanket which was ingeniously extended around the plumbing. We also had some raised loft boarding installed to facilitate access to the water tanks in future. The job was done efficiently, neatly and cleanly by the pleasant team and we are very pleased with the result I have no hesitation recommending this company for high-quality loft insulation work

RJ Insulation cleared out my loft of all its contents, hoovered it clean, and installed new wool insulation, eaves ventilators and boarding. The team also helped return my items for storage to the loft afterwards. The company was pleasant and straightforward to deal with throughout the process, thorough and trustworthy. The work was carried out tidily, and the house left clean and neat. The work took less time than I had previously been advised. There was slight damage to a bedroom ceiling, and an appropriate resolution swiftly agreed. Now I need to find out if it will keep the house warmer – I hope so.

The property had a layer of old fibreglass insulation installed in the loft, which was not very efficient and unpleasant to handle so I decided to have it all removed and replaced with a more efficient alternative. Based on the advice of the surveyor, I decided to have a 250mm layer of Supersoft insulation installed and to have the small loft hatch replaced with a larger one with a new ladder. The quote from RJ Insulation was not the cheapest by any means but the company appeared to be knowledgeable and professional so I agreed on a date for the work to take place. On the appointed day, three lads arrived and got stuck in. They cheerfully emptied the loft, cleared it of nasty fibreglass, hoovered it and increased the opening for the larger hatch to be fitted. At regular intervals, I was asked to check that I was happy with the quality of their work and at the end, they returned all the contents of the loft and hoovered the floor. Throughout the process, the team were hard working, cheerful and courteous and I could not have been happier with the end result. Thanks lads.

A large loft in our Listed house had a layer of Fibreglass and centuries of dust. The inspection was thorough and the work was completed in two days the following week. The Team who cleared the old fibreglass and installed the new Sheepswool were very helpful and efficient, leaving everything spotlessly clean. Very impressed but you have to pay for quality.

We had our loft insulated with sheep’s wool. We had enquired late last year but didn’t get around to scheduling the work until this week. Someone came out to quote on Thursday and we agreed to a couple of week’s time, but someone had to postpone a similar installation and we were amazed to be able to swap dates and complete yesterday! Everyone we came into contact with was pleasant, thorough and knowledgeable. The work was completed with a minimum of disruption and in a straightforward fashion. The tidy-up afterwards was great! The process is not cheap, but worth the money for the peace of mind of a job well done. Would thoroughly recommend this company.

I have no hesitation in recommending RJ Insulation. I had old fibre-glass insulation replaced by Supasoft insulation. This was a professional job from start to finish. The installation itself was carried out by a team of three who arrived on time, were very hard-working and polite and kept everything clean. I’m very pleased with the end result. My loft was cleaned out after the old (very horrible) fibre-glass was removed and then the new insulation and venting put down. It now feels a clean and habitable environment! It is early days in terms of assessing the impact, but it does feel as though the house temperature is more evenly distributed as well as being warmer. The sales and administration service was efficient and personable and communications were clear and speedy. The job was assessed via a pre-installation visit and the work was completed to the agreed schedule and budget.

I found this company by searching a wide range of different review sites, and noted that there were no significant negative reviews, but loads of incredible reviews and recommendations and most important of all was that on their website I noted that Which Magazine had recommended them, and Which are perhaps the most trusted review source of all available review sources!

Had the loft re-insulated and the flooring completely boarded.
Had major building work done about 9yrs ago. The loft was one of the major refurbishment, as the chimney was removed. But what we ended up with was bare brickwork and half the floor had boards down.
Fast forward to the present day….
I contacted RJ Insulation through an advertisement on Facebook, after I did some homework about the company. They contacted me soon after to have a general discussion of what we (wife and i) wanted. An assessor came to the house and measured the loft space as well as discuss options.
We went for for re-insulate to modern specifications and with updated flooring and 4 storage cupboards. A few days later…a quote was emailed as well as a phone call from one of their “go to, to organise how to go forward “.
I liked the quote, even though I could not afford there and then at the time. So I went to get a loan to pay for the job to be done. Date and time was then agreed on start of the Project. And how long it would take.
A team of 2 turned up…as stated. [Day and time]. They clarified on what the project was all about and then laid down dust sheets on the stairs.
They worked very diligently and was always polite and asked to use the toilet and also asked when they wanted a hot drink.
End of each day…they tidied after themselves, before leaving. Any concerns in the loft, the “boss” of the team would call for my presence and we discuss the issues.
Every now and then I would get asked to look in the loft space. [I felt it was more like an inspection, by me. As well as a progress update].
A few things were pointed out to me which were rectified as soon as it could be rectified. So much so….the project over run by 1 day. But that was probably due to being 1 team member down till day 3 or 4 out of the eventual 6 days.
The team also managed to put in a strip light for me as I had a low powered bulb. Electrics…the team also sorted out. Had a socket up in the loft….”floating around”….now it is in situ on the Insulation on one of the Gable Ends.
Wife and I are very happy.
Also to add ….we had a day of continuous rain and as they had to go back and Forth to their van , plus have “fresh air ” breaks….they laid boards on my carpets to protect them from getting wet and….dirty.

RJ Insulation sent an excellent team who were very hardworking, diligent, polite and respectful. Indeed unusually for a building project it was a pleasure! The outcome is exactly what I wanted but was unsure could be delivered to this highest of standards. The skill standard, quality of work and the use of sustainable materials, though costly, is value for money. I have an amazing beautifully finished space – well decorated and with a really good Novocore flooring that is both beautiful and practical. RJ were happy to use my paint of choice, Little Greene and came up with a brilliant solution to my request for simple easy access fitting a fully remote controlled Loftomatic ladder system. It is awesome and will mean I will be able to access the space easily making it really usable. I am beyond delighted – it was worth the time and money. RJ put a lot of effort into the planning and ensuring they understood my needs so they could deliver exactly what I wanted. They excelled and have gone above and beyond! I will definitely be using them for any future insulation work and highly recommend them to make your loft a usable space.

We had our loft insulated with SuperFOIL and had boarding added to create a warm & dry storage space inside the house. The team did an excellent job and transformed our loft in a single day. We are very happy with the outcome. Now we have extra space in the house and hope to gradually save on heating costs over the years.

The experience I had with R J Insulation was wonderful. When I initially contacted them for a quote I got a full run down regarding the service they provide as well as the different materials they offer, and they were happy to answer any questions I had and explained all their certifications. I was given time to research everything and I genuinely think they wanted nothing more than to offer the best service. Although when compared to other installers and insulation types it may be more on the expensive side for initial cost, I think it’s worth every penny as not only do you get a lifetime guarantee, you get the extra knowledge that your insulation is made of recycled or eco-friendly materials. Having had SupaSoft installed it’s also good to know that the insulation will last long after I’ve moved from the house. I got my loft insulated with the recommended amount of SupaSoft insulation as well as about 8 square metres of lifted boarding added for storage. The installers arrived on time on the day and were clean, courteous, and finished everything well before the expected completion time. They double checked with me where I wanted the boarding put as well as discussing how to deal with my push-up loft hatch. When the job was finished everything was tidied up and hoovered, and I think my carpets are even cleaner than when they arrived. Overall, I had a wonderful experience from start to finish and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering loft insulation.

Luis gave a good explanation of the benefits of sheeps wool insulation in the first stage of the process. My house is 1930s and so the breathability of the wool and its ability to hold moisture to control humidity was a big part of the choice. On the install day, Max and his team were excellent. He explained each stage of the process and checked about which items I might want to keep from the clear out of the loft space. When there was difficulty in fitting a few of the eaves trays, he compensated for the loss by fitting extra lat vents in the roof so that the overall ventilation was not affected. His team did a thorough clean before they left and Max even had a look under my downstairs floor and offered some advice about heating, despite not offering the work himself and so having no vested interest. I can’t fault the install. The effectiveness of the install at first seemed disappointing, and while the temperature of the house didn’t at first increase, the dehumidifier showed that the house was a few percentage points less humid than it had been with old fibreglass. On day 5 after the install, we noticed that the living room was maintaining heat a little better after the radiators went off. Now, more than a week in, the install seems to have made about a 2 degree difference. This is significant when we still have wall insulation to do. According to Google, this delay in effect is due to the wool gradually expanding back to full depth after being compressed in rolls.

When first speaking with Alfie I felt that the level of service, detail and communication was almost too good to be true – this is the best compliment I can offer everyone at RJ Insulation. The pre-inspection and RAMS report was also run to a high professional standard, arranged quickly with everything explained to me. Lastly, Max and Lunas were brilliant when undertaking the actual work in the loft space. Price was as qoated, information clearly stated. Installation team were pleasant and polite, very tidy workers. Loft vacuumed once old insulation removed. They said for me to have a look before they departed. Once the work was finished they went round every room to check the ceiling lights were working.

Well….what a breath of fresh air this Company indeed is. With its customer service, value and quality of product it is truly a professional outfit second to none. From start to finish everything was fully explained, all questions answered including type of insulation to suit the age of the property (foil in my case). Although the cost was more than the average this was more than made up by the practical and efficient way the whole exercise was carried out. The two guys doing the work were a delight and polite and fully cleaned up after themselves. I have no hesitation in recommending this trustworthy Company.

Our loft is a tight space so I decided to get a professional fitter in to do the job rather than try and DIY it. Found RJ Insulation by chance and read the reviews on Which, Trading Standards etc and did some other checks (as you can never be too careful). I then decided to contact them. I experienced very good customer service throughout the process and Alfie worked with me to find a time to do the survey and the works. I already had sheep’s wool in mind for the loft but Alfie went through the advantages of it and confirmed in my mind why sheep’s wool insulation would be best. Alfie gave me a rough idea and range of the costs there and then. He arranged an onsite survey with John a few days later to confirm exact costs. Cost were agreed after the on-site survey (they were within the lower end of the range that Alfie had given me previously). A date that was suitable for both of us was then arranged. Works were completed quickly by two friendly workmen. The old insulation and other debris was removed and taken away with them. They showed me the work that they had completed in the loft. They cleaned up the areas that they had been working in. I had a follow up call from Alfie to make sure that I was happy with the work. The price may be more than other fitters out there but in my opinion you get quality work, excellent customer service and at the end of the day peace of mind of not dealing with rogue traders. We have recruited RJ Insulation to help us to lay down new insulation material for our loft. Before the insulation, we have friendly and detailed conversation with Alfie, understanding the whole procedure and the benefits of using RJ Insulation. A site visit was also arranged before the actual day of insulation. A team of three led by Max arrived on time on the actual day. They were very friendly and worked continuously for around 8 hrs without even popping out for lunch, and executed their work professionally. From the calls from Alfie, the Survey and the hard working installers, RJ Insulation has been professional, knowledgeable and curtious throughout, I can’t praise the company enough. I thought I did my research before getting quotes from companies to retro-fit new insulation in our loft conversion, but listening to Alfie took me to another level, I couldn’t find another company who would guarantee their work for the life of the house, my experience with RJ Insulation was a level above the rest even if they weren’t the cheapest I can tell it’s money well spent. My wife was so happy she had her full staircase cleaned as the last action of the installers each day I think this is one thing she’s going to miss. They got the job done efficiently, working as long as the job needed to get it done on time, including figuring out some particularly awkward issues from some leftover spray foam (what we were replacing). I needed to sort out the poor energy rating of an old house; insulation was so degraded as to be worthless in terms of heat retention but also revolting to deal with and clean out. RJ and the team explained all the options in detail, leaving me to decide how best to proceed and once the decision was made did the work with efficiency and professionalism. The estimate and survey was undertaken with care as was the work that followed. Everything was left spotlessly clean and all waste was removed. The team were fastidious.
